Aki Kaneko is a Japanese Language Teacher. She was born and grew up in Japan. Aki majored in Education in Japan and further advanced to obtain post graduate degrees in Applied Linguistics in Australia. She has previously taught in Japan and the USA, and has been teaching in Australia for over 20 years.
Aki is eager to produce materials which are engaging and easy so that one can be encouraged to practice regularly and be able to use the language over time.
This series is inspired by the work of Kieran Donaghy on using films in ESL. Also, thanks to my prior students who many times encouraged me to use Anime/drama as teaching materials!
